Extra Activities We Offer
At Growing Stars Nursery, we also provide a number of engaging extra activities to enrich your child's experiences and learning. Below is a summary of some of the fun and exciting activities your child can take part in....
Sports Sessions
A sports company attend the nursery regularly to run fun and active sports sessions with the children. ⚽️🏈
The children are given an opportunity to develop their gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, physical skills, working as a team, playing alongside their friends and so much more.
Forest School
The children will be taking part in Forest School sessions🌲 with an experienced Forest School Leader alongside the GSN Team ⭐️
Come rain or shine, the children will enjoy interactive sessions in our lovely garden, learning about the natural world around them. Expect bug hunts, puddle jumping, mud pies, rolling in leaves and singing around a camp fire! We hope the children will build a fond connection with nature that will last a lifetime.
Health And Wellbeing Classes
An experienced teacher comes into the nursery to run fun and exciting sessions with the children to promote healthy lifestyles. 🤸♂️🤸♀️
Using music and movement, it is an opportunity to explore mindfulness, healthy eating and exercise in an interactive way.
Music, Drama & Dance Sessions
A super fun session where the children explore their creativity and expression through music, drama and dance. 🎭
You can expect your child to be coming home singing lots of their theme songs and sharing their excitement with you. 🎵🎶
Ballet
A dance class to develop the children's gross motor skills, listening and attention skills and so much more. 🩰
The children are able to express themselves in a creative way alongside their friends.
Animal Encounters
A hands on experience with small animals, learning about them in real time. 🐍
Different animals are brought in each time and the children learn about the animal's needs, habitat and so much more. They are given the opportunity to hold the animals and experience them first hand.
* Our activities are rotated regularly to keep them exciting for the children and relevant to their interests and needs.
