Information and Terms & Conditions.
1. Growing Stars Nursery Canons Park is open from 8am-4pm Term Time Only. Our Session times will be as follows; 8am-12pm (Morning Session, Half Day), 12pm-4pm (Afternoon Session, Half Day) and 8am-4pm (Full Day Session) The nursery will not be open on bank holidays or staff training days, you will therefore not be charged for these days.
2. All fees must be paid in advance, on or before the date stated at the bottom of each invoice. Payments may be made through bank transfer or cash only. Failure to pay will result in a £5 late charge per day. Continuous late payments will result in your child’s place being withdrawn.
3. Growing Stars Nursery accepts Childcare vouchers. Please speak with a manager to ensure we are registered with your voucher company before use. All voucher payments must be paid at least 5 working days before the payment is due.
4. If you wish to end your contract or change your current sessions, we ask for a minimum of 6 open weeks paid, written, notice to arrange your request.
5. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for sickness, or holiday taken during the time our nursery is open.
6. The Nursery’s sessions begin at 8am and 12pm please ensure you are punctual upon arrival, circle time starts promptly at the beginning of a session. Please ensure upon departure of the nursery you are also prompt, a £5 late charge will be issued per 15 mins late.
7. Parents/Carers must inform the nursery immediately if any personal information has changed. This includes home address, and telephone numbers.
8. If your child is ill and therefore unable to attend their session at nursery, please phone or text the nursery at the earliest opportunity possible to make staff aware of this absence.
9. If your child has experienced vomiting or diarrhea, your child is contagious and we therefore ask for you to keep them at home for 48 hours since the last episode. This is to prevent illness and bugs being spread around the nursery to other children and practitioners.
10. If your child has received antibiotics from a doctor, we are able to administer this at nursery, provided a form is filled in, and the medication is in the original named packaging. The first 24 hours of a new medication must be spent at home to ensure there are no allergies to the antibiotics provided. We ask if your child has conjunctivitis, to stay at home for the first 48 hours of administration, this is as your child is still contagious for this period.
11. If your child become ill during a session at nursery parents will be notified as soon as possible and if necessary, will be asked to collect their child.
12. Growing Stars Nursery reserves the right to exclude any children from the nursery whose behaviour is disruptive and prevents them from providing a safe, stimulating and happy environment for the other children. This will only be used in extreme circumstances and only as a last resort and extensive consultation with the parent/carer.
13. Growing Stars Nursery has a zero tolerance to any person displaying abusive or confrontational behaviour towards staff, adults and children. Growing Stars Nursery reserves the right to exclude any children from the nursery whose Parent/Carer or Guardian is displaying this behaviour with instant dismissal
14. At Growing Stars Nursery we have a duty and responsibility if we are concerned in any way about the safety of a child. The Nursery has a duty of care for the welfare of every child, any worries and concerns will be shared with Georgie Thomson – Safeguarding Officer.
15. All Policies and Procedures are available for parents in the foyer area of the nursery, please inform a manager if you have any questions.
